Project Significance

Dual-arm robot is one of typical bionic robots. Comparing to the traditional single arm robot, dual-ram robots are more capable to finish human-like operations in a higher level. The scientific significance of this research is about the skill principles of manual complex tasks for providing theoretical basis to develop dual-arm robots with skill operation functions. The application value of the research is, with complex operation tasks, developing a dual-arms robot system with better skills and functions, expanding the application field of robots, improving industry manufacturing and operation levels and developing the dual-arm robot industry.

Research Content

Our project focuses on the research of dual-arm robot operation technology, operation skills and implementation.

The first part is about establishing a dual-arm robot bionic skill-learning experiment platform, revealing manual operation principle and mining skill models.

The second part is, based on the manual operation process, researching the movement principle of arm-wrist-palm-finger during manual operation, research and system development of robot bionic teaching technology in order to accomplish complex operation tasks.

The last part is about research of complete set of equipment and systems of dual-arm robots in different industries, improving the production level of manufacturing and promoting the development of dual-arm robot technology.

Application Prospect

Different industries operations require different skills. This research is guided by local industry needs and national strategic needs, studying the industry’s manufacturing process and operating skills and developing complete sets of dual-arm robots for promoting application in typical industries and expand to other industries. Meanwhile, for extreme, dangerous and complex operations, developing a dedicated dual-arm robot operation intelligent system is part of our research. Furthermore, our project is establishing the research direction of dual-arm robots, researching complete-set solutions and founding dual-arm robot enterprises.
